AUSTIN, Texas – April 14, 2026 –
Gerald “Jerry” Lacour, co-founder of Innovative Aftermarket Systems (IAS) and father of RoadVantage Founder and CEO Garret Lacour, has been posthumously inducted into the F&I Hall of Fame.
Established by Bobit Business Media, the F&I Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose innovation, leadership, and integrity have left a lasting mark on the automotive finance and insurance industry.
Lacour’s legacy is one of vision, creativity, and unwavering integrity. In 1984, he co-founded IAS with his son, Garret, building the company on a simple principle: deliver what is promised. That philosophy helped shape modern F&I practices and became a defining standard for product development and dealer support.
Known as a problem solver and innovator during the industry’s formative years, Lacour earned a reputation as someone who could turn ideas into successful products—and partnerships built on trust. His leadership style emphasized mentorship, collaboration, and doing right by others, values that continue to influence the industry today.
That influence is especially evident in the leadership of Garret Lacour and the foundation of RoadVantage. The same principles Jerry championed—innovation, integrity, and a commitment to partners—remain central to the company’s mission and growth.

Lacour passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 89. His induction into the F&I Hall of Fame honors not only his individual achievements but also the enduring legacy carried forward through his family and the F&I community.
He will be recognized at Agent Summit alongside other industry leaders whose contributions have helped define and elevate F&I.
